  23. Novell ships drivers on the NetWare Lite installation diskettes
  24. for the following Network Interface Cards (NIC's).

  53. If your network interface card does not appear in this list refer
  54. to your hardware documentation to determine if your card is
  55. compatible with a card which is on the list.  If you find a match
  56. you can select the compatible card type during installation.

  61. installation.  If your card is not compatible with any of the
  62. cards listed you will have to use the card driver supplied with
  63. the card or provide your own card driver.  Any card drivers not
  64. supplied on the installation diskettes are considered to be
  65. "other" card drivers.  Unfortunately, the installation program
  66. fails to complete properly if "other" is selected during
  67. installation.  To install NetWare Lite with your "other" card
  68. driver complete the following steps.
  69.  
  70. 1. Make backup copies of the original "program" and "driver" diskettes. 
  71.    If you have a 720K or 1.2M floppy drive you can copy both original 
  72.    diskettes onto one backup diskette.
  73.  
  74. 2. Copy your card driver onto the backup diskette.  If you made a seperate
  75.    backup diskette of the "program" and "driver" diskettes, you must copy the
  76.    card driver to the "driver" backup diskette.
  77.  
  78. 3. Begin the installation program as you normally would but use the backup 
  79.    diskette(s) instead of the originals.

  81. 4. When prompted to select a network interface card verify that "other"
  82.    is highlighted and press enter. 
  83.  
  84. 5. When prompted to insert the diskette which contains your card driver, 
  85.    simply press esc. 
  86.  
  87. 6. Use the arrow keys to highlight the name of your card driver and press
  88.    enter.
  89.  
  90. 7. Continue following the installation program prompts until the program
  91.    completes.
  92.  
  93. 8. When the installation program completes, press esc to exit.
  94.  
  95. If you installed the card with non-default settings you will need
  96. to create a configuration file to inform IPX.  The configuration
  97. file is named NET.CFG and should be located in the same directory
  98. as the other NetWare Lite program files.  The NET.CFG created by
  99. NetWare Lite has the following format.  Refer to your hardware
  100. documentation for information on setting up your card and what to
  101. include in NET.CFG.
